ClearFlo 13 W UV Clarifier Instructions

CAUTION:

  1. UV Clarifier brings ultra violet radiation when it is working, which is harmful to the human eyes and skin, avoid eye and skin contact with the UV light at all times. Remember to switch off the power before opening up the unit.
  2. The working status of the lamp can be observed from a small elliptical white lens on the unit.
    NOTE: The lens from the unit is normally brighter at the start of using the unit but after running some time, the light from the lens may become a little bit dimmer. This is due to the fact that some dirt has got into the unit and has blocked the lens. The lens can be cleaned by switching the power off and opening up the unit. The efficiency of the product will NOT be affected by dirt on the lens.
  3. When an “acute collision” or “drop of the unit” happens, please check to see if there is a crack on the quartz tube and UV lamp, if any crack or breakages happens, you MUST REPLACE THE UNIT BEFORE USING IT AGAIN.
  4. DO NOT TOUCH THE UV BULB (UV LAMP) DIRECTLY. THE NATURAL OILS ON A PERSONS HAND CAN CAUSE ENOUGH DAMAGE TO MAKE THE BULB USELESS. WHEN REMOVING THE BULB FROM PACKAGING, WEAR GLOVES.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Attach the UV lamp to the fixed screw.
  2. Place the “O” ring on the inlet/outlet an fasten the screws on tightly.
  3. Connect the plastic tube to the water inlet/outlet tightly. The tube with an inner diameter of 1 to 1.25 inches is suitable to be connected. Ensure the tube is connected tightly.
  4. Dig a small hole beside your pond where your UV clarifier will stay.
  5. Find a small plastic container that can hold the UV clarifier. Place the Clarifier in this container and bury the clarifier. NOTE: DO NOT PLACE THE UV CLARIFIER IN THE POND. DIRECT CONTACT WITH WATER CAN PERMANENTLY BREAK YOUR UV CLARIFER.

Cleaning Instructions:

  1. Switch off the power before opening up the unit. Disconnect the plastic tubing from the unit. Undo all screws on the water inlet/outlet.
  2. Undo the plastic screw between the ballast and the unit, then open the cage, take out the lamp sector and quartz tube step by step, and clean the quartz tube and inner surface with a soft sponge or cloth.
