Sample Garden Pond Design- Creating a Simple Water Garden

This easy-to-construct pond is ideal for small areas, but can easily be adapted to fit larger areas if desired. Whether the simple pond includes fish, or just plants, it is a great way to bring a bit of a different atmosphere into any outdoors area.

After you've designed and planned out your simple water garden, you should mark the outline of your planned pond on the ground with a rope. Dig out your pond, and create your plant shelves. Make sure that all of the edges around your pond are level to make sure you don't lose water. Remove any stones, rocks, or debris from your hole before adding your liner. Once you've added the liner, you can start filling it with water. Anchor the liner to the ground with long nails and heavy edging materials.
